Look below, your question may already be answered.
What We Will Do: We don't play music with explicit lyrics, unless you want that. We won't talk on the mic the whole night. You'll deal with just us from the first meeting to the final dance. You'll have our cell number to call anytime. You won't hear something you told us not to play. You'll hear names pronounced correctly during introductions. All our gear will be professionally presented. Our equipment will perform properly. You will see us wearing the appropriate attire to your event. You will see us dedicated to our task. The success of your event is our mission.
Do you have insurance? Yes! Most venues require this and we have a liability policy for all events.
Why would we go with you over a larger company? First and foremost you get to actually see the DJ you'll be booking - Andrew. It's our personal relationship that makes your event great. Second, we are able to keep a real close eye on quality. Our clients come back because they like the personal touch they don't get from the bigger companies. We have one complete set of gear to look after - we buy the highest quality. Often, larger companies have many setups to rent out, and go with low to mid-grade equipment.
Do you have our special song? Yes, though you may stump us from time to time. We have too much music to list. The conversations we’ll have prior to your reception assures you that we'll have your special songs and anything else you desire.
Do you have any hidden charges? No, there are no 'hidden' charges. Travel charges vary from $100 to $250 depending on how far we're driving to get to your event. All events within 40 miles of my home have NO TRAVEL CHARGE. If your venue does not have an elevator and equipment needs to be brought upstairs, there is a labor charge, typically $100. Rainy events that require us to bring our shelter and waterproof items incur a $100 fee. These are clearly explained in our contract.
Do you have different packages? Yes, we offer several different packages, depending on the event. Please check the proper page for the various packages available.
What type of reservation fee do you require? $200-300 check, cash or Venmo Debit to reserve your date.
Do you require a contract? Yes, and you better hope any DJ you're hiring does or you have to question why.
Do you have a refund policy for weddings? Yes, if you cancel your wedding and we are able to replace it with another, you will get your deposit back.
Will you help us pick out some bridal/special dance songs? Of course! We'll give you plenty of ideas others have used but we won’t make the final decisions for you.
What kind of music do you play? The long and short of it - whatever gets the people at your event dancing. We want what you want - people having fun. The more they dance to a particular genre, the more likely we are to keep playing it. Whether it's 70's, 90's, 2010's, current, rock, classic rock, electronic or hip hop, - whatever it takes to get them up and moving.
Can we come visit one of your events to see you in action? For weddings, no. Keep in mind that this is actually a poor way to judge. The problem is you would need to attend at least 3 events of each of the DJ's you're looking at hiring - and take an average. Every event is different in how it builds up. We have known plenty of terrible DJ’s that get lucky with a good crowd on occasion - so buyer beware. There are times that Andrew does public nightclub/lounge events - feel free to check him out in those settings.
Do you help to keep the event flowing? Do you handle all the announcements? Yes, we pride ourselves on keeping things running in a nice order to make the night run smooth. The client shouldn't have to worry about the details on the event day. This should be the time to enjoy and have the pros you hired make things happen. This strength is one of the reasons we are on preferred DJ lists - vendors know we can make their job easier, and client happier.
Do we meet you before our event? Yes. Typically via phone and/or FaceTime works best.
What if you get sick? Andrew is a veteran in the industry. He has many DJ’s in his Rolodex and short of an accident en-route that left him hospitalized on the day of your event he will be there for you. In fact, Andrew even performed at an event only a week after having bi-lateral pneumonia! This is a small personal DJ service where we establish a relationship of integrity, trust and concern toward a great outcome.
What type of audio gear do you use? We use top of the line gear from industry leaders including Pioneer, Denon, QSC, Mackie, Sennheiser, Audix, ADJ, Chauvet and Martin.
Do you take requests? With thousands of songs on hand we will always do our best to meet your requests! We will be going over music before the event in order to ensure we are all on the same page.
Are we supposed to tip? Tipping is never required but always appreciated.
Do you require a meal? We never require a meal, and sometimes do not have time to eat at your event, your success is our main concern.
